Peter Ohlerich

Institution: Christopher Newport University

Candidacy: Senate Minority Whip

Bio: I am a senior at Christopher Newport University majoring in Computer Science and Leadership Studies while minoring in Cybersecurity and Information Science. On campus, I am a Wason Scholar who works with the Wason Center for Civic Leadership to promote voter education and civic leadership in our community.

Statement: Last year's Virginia Government Simulation was an impactful experience, and coming into this year, I knew I wanted to be more than just a delegate or senator. During each vote, our whole party must be on the same page since we have a small disadvantage. If I am voted as the Minority Whip, I will do my part in making sure the party leadership has proper communication with all representatives so that we can achieve the best outcome during this year's session.
